Mentoring involves an older, more experienced person guiding and helping a younger person in his or her development.

Mentoring is a well-established practice in business but not known to have been implemented before in any athlete development program in Australia. It is believed a mentoring program can complement the other support given to athletes in the Drapac Porsche Development Program (DPDP) and enhance their prospects of educational, athletic and vocational success.

The DPDP Mentoring Program will match athletes with experienced senior business and community leaders who can provide guidance, advice and support over an extended period (1-3 years).
