MICHAEL DRAPAC – Team Principal MICHAEL DRAPAC – Team Principal

As well as being on the Advisory Board of the Drapac Porsche Development Program, Michael is the team principle. Michael has been a very strong supporter of cycling, being a former Board Member of CycleSport Victoria and a crucial party in negotiating the delivery of Vodafone Arena and DISC, two of the world-best cycling venues located in Melbourne.

Coming form a nutritional background, Michael provides advice and support to the team on nutrition, medical testing and athlete well being.


ADAM MURCHIE - Team Director ADAM MURCHIE - Team Director

Adam heads up the Drapac Group’s fund management operations and has been employed by Drapac for over 6 years. Prior to joining Drapac, Adam was the Executive Officer of CycleSport Victoria. Adam holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Deakin University where he completed a Double Major in Management and Sports Management. Adam is also an active cyclist and races as part of DPDP.


Adam was involved in the establishment of the Drapac Porsche Development Program having seen first hand, the issues that many elite cyclists face at the end of their athletic careers. Adam is also actively involved in the broader development of the sport through sitting on the Cycling Australia Track Cycling Commission, the Advisory Board of Revolution (a cycling promoter) and acting as a committee member of Cyclists International. Adam was also a Board Member of the 2002 Junior World Cycling Championships. Adam provides strategic direction to DPDP as well as assisting with the development of business relationships and team positioning.


TIM ROWLER – Team Director TIM ROWLER – Team Director

Tim holds a bachelor of Commerce degree from Deakin University where he completed a Triple Major in Accounting, Finance and Commercial Law. Tim has been employed by Drapac as its Group Accountant since the beginning of 2006 after returning to Australia from working in London.


Tim was attracted to DPDP unique philosophy which would allow him to continue his work at developing young people. He has been involved in the Portsea Surf Life Saving Club Ltd for 9 years where he held numerous positions including Instructor, Assessor the Logistical Manager for the Portsea Swim Classic and the Marketing and Promotions Director of the club.

 

His Accounting and Finance experience will allow him to contribute significantly to the financial well being of the Program.


AGOSTINO GIRAMONDO – Director Sportif AGOSTINO GIRAMONDO – Director Sportif

Agostino is one of Australia’s leading cycling coaches with 30 years of racing experience in Australia and Europe. Agostino represented Australia at the World Championships in Japan in 1990 and has ridden 5 Herald Sun Tours.

Agostino began coaching in 1987 and has coached numerous State and National champions. He was awarded the VicSport Volunteer Coach of the Year in 2003-4 and was the State junior coach from 2002-5 and the State senior coach in 2005.

In addition to his coaching activities Agostino also runs a successful cycle clothing manufacturing business.


SARAH RICHARDSON - Team Manager SARAH RICHARDSON - Team Manager

Sarah joined the team at the beginning of this year after returning from the Middle East where she worked for nine months on the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 2006 Doha Asian Games. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce – Sport Management degree with a major in Marketing and Sport Management from Deakin University, Sarah has pursued various operation and logistics roles in events including the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, The Deaflympics, World Masters Games and UCI World Track Cycling Championships. Sarah also has a vast experience working with aspiring young athletes through the Portsea Surf Life Saving Club and coaching rowing.


Sarah brings to the DPDP strong administrative and planning skills as well as excellent experience in operational events; she will be a key driver in the ongoing growth and development of the team.


TAMMY MILLS - PR Consultant

Tammy is currently in her second year of Journalism at RMIT.  Her creative ability and written skills are a great asset to the team in deliverying and communicating with the Media.  Tammy will be behind the goal of developing a greater Media Awareness of the continual successes of the Drapac Porsche Development Program.
